Market Rush

Market3Prior to initiating a Market Rush, you will need to make sure that you have the following upgrades complete:

  • Statue + paladin (if there is no paladin in this world, don’t even try it…)
  • wood 1
  • clay 1
  • wood 2
  • (level 3, 4 wood is optional, level 2 clay also)
  • warehouse 2
  • market 1

Use wood to gain 2x the amount of iron on the market.

This strategy is a toss-up, but is definitely one of the worse ones to use in early stages.  By doing this, you will come up short in Iron and will need to use your wood, which is often needed for spears. Market rush is extremely rare, and in more than 99% of the cases, it slows you down a lot. It is still in the developmental stages as a strategy, so any and all feedback and advice are welcomed if you use this approach successfully.

Heavy Mine-Whoring Strategy

Mine3

Heavy mine-whoring is not a wise strategy, but it is popular none the less.  Experienced players will update the mine levels in the following order:

  • Clay or Iron lvl 1
  • If option 2 statue + paladin
  • Wood or Clay lvl 1
  • Iron or Wood lvl 1
  • (Choose either option 1 everywhere or option 2 everywhere. If you have a paladin choose option 2)
  • Clay 2
  • Wood 2
  • Clay 3
  • Clay 4
  • Wood 4
  • Clay 5
  • Clay 6
  • Wood 5
  • Iron 2
  • Wood 6
  • Iron 3
  • Clay 7
  • Clay 8
  • Iron 4
  • Wood 7
  • Clay 9
  • Wood 8
  • Iron 5
  • Clay 10
  • Wood 9
  • Iron 6
  • Wood 10
  • Iron 7
  • Iron 8
  • (You can get statue and paladin here as well)
  • HQ 2
  • HQ 3
  • Barrack
  • Produce spears and begin farming

Less experienced players do this in no particular order, and sometimes maximize their mines’ upgrades to produce most of their income. It’s not smart to pursue this strategy, since it causes “fake” growth. In some worlds, however, if farming and hauling are disabled, this will be your only decent method of forcing growth.  Be discerning.

This tactic is really dangerous, especially if you start in the core. Players will farm you and steal your resources.

Also, mine income gives fewer resources than farming. For active competitive players, this strategy is risky and short-sighted.
